Singer Mel Bs mother Andrea Brown has slammed the courts decision for ordering her daughter to pay her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte spousal support of 30,000 pounds a month.

Mel B, a former Spice Girls star, was asked by a judge to give Belafonte 30,000 pounds per month during their divorce proceedings and help him with a one-time payment of $140,000 (106935.54 pounds) for his legal fees.

Brown said that she demand is disgusting, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"Have to be thankful, my daughter alive after 10 years of worry. She's finely safe. More important than money," Andrea tweeted on Saturday.

While sharing a news link of the court's decision, Brown wrote: "This would never happen in England disgusted with this news."

Mel B revealed in April that her Belafonte physically and emotionally abused her during their marriage.

According to Mel B's claims, Belafonte hit her, attacked her self confidence, cheated on her with their nanny, forced her to have threesomes, secretly recorded the intercourse, used the sex tapes against her, and isolated her from her family.
