On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 28.7 degrees, the season's average while the minimum temperature was 14.8 degrees, two notches above the season's average.

"Cold winds from north will be there for next two days, so the temperature rise will be marginal or about one to two degrees. Maximum temperature by Thursday may reach around 31 degrees," Mahesh Palawat, Director, private weather forecasting agency Skymet, told IANS.

He added that after three to four days, temperature will rise further.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), that has already forecast warmer pre-monsoon season, the maximum temperature by the weekend in Delhi will be around 33 to 34 degrees.
