English football club Stoke City has officially announced the signing of young Spanish midfielder Sergio Molina from Spanish giants Real Madrid until June 2018.
The 19-year-old Molina joined Real Madrid at age 9 and has captained all Real Madrid teams from Under-10 to Under-19 over the years, reports Efe.
The Spaniard, who signed a three-year contract, will be part of the under-21 Stoke City team, the club said in a statement published on its website on Wednesday.
Last season, Molina played six matches in the UEFA Youth League with Real Madrid, a competition in which he scored two goals.
On the English team, the player will meet four of his countrymen - attackers Joselu and Bojan Krikic, midfielder Moha El Ouriachi and defender Marc Muniesa.
