A three-year-old boy died Monday while his friend was critically injured when an iron gate fell on them in a colony here, police said.
Deepak and Pawan were playing below a heavy iron gate, fixed a few days ago, outside DDA flats in Timarpur area in north Delhi when it fell on them Monday afternoon. They two received severe injuries.
A passersby saw them trapped under the gate and informed police, said police.
The two were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Deepak dead while Pawan was admitted for treatment and is recuperating.
Police said that a case of negligence has been registered.
