Minor fire at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital

A minor fire broke out on Tuesday in the blood bank of Safdarjung Hospital here but it was quickly put out, hospital authorities said.

"It was a minor fire at the blood bank of the hospital and there is nothing to worry about. Things are under control," Safdarjung Hospital Medical Superintendent A.K. Rai told IANS.

He said the fire started from a switchboard of the hospital's blood bank. The incident was reported around 3 p.m.

Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot, Delhi Fire Service officials said.
