An 11-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her uncle, police said on Tuesday.
The victim is a student of a girls' school in south Delhi.
According to police, the victim -- a student of Class VI -- shared her ordeal with her school teacher. She said that her uncle had been molesting her since last week.
The teacher brought this to the notice of the school principal, who later approached the police.
"On the basis of a complaint from the school principal, the police have registered a case of molestation under POCSO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012) against her uncle," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal told IANS.
"We have also recorded the victim's statement," he added.
While the investigation is in progress, no arrest has been made till now.
