A six-year-old girl drowned on Tuesday after she fell into an open water tank at an underconstruction site in south Delhi, police said.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when Arpita along with her sister went to a grocery shop from her home in Pul Prahladpur.
"Arpita accidentally fell into the water tank. Her parents later found her body floating in the tank," a senior police officer said.
Arpita's parents own a tea shop in the area, police said.
"We are questioning the owner of the underconstruction site on negligence aspect of the case," the police added.
