Minor girl raped by property dealer

A minor girl was allegedly raped by a property dealer here, police said on Thursday.

Police said the incident in west Delhi occurred on two weeks ago but it was reported to police by the victim's mother on Tuesday after which a case of rape was registered against the accused.

"The 12-year-old victim, a class 6 student, was allegedly raped by the accused two weeks ago. The accused, who works as a property dealer in Swaroop Nagar, is still large," said a police officer said.

"The accused barged inside her house and sexually assaulted her, while she was alone. He later threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone but she told her mother later," he added.
