Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to bring back black money stashed abroad by Indians within 100 days of taking power, former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said Thursday.
"Modi had promised to bring back black money after being elected to power. But he has failed to do that even after 150 days," the Janata Dal-United leader told a meeting of party workers and leaders.
Nitish Kumar said that when Modi had no information about the exact amount of black money held by Indians abroad, he must explain how and when he would give Rs.15 lakh to every citizen.
These, Nitish Kumar said, were among the promises Modi made ahead of the Lok Sabha election this year.
Earlier, Nitish Kumar targeted Modi's government by saying its approach reflected the Bharatiya Janata Party's "black mindset", and termed the BJP a 'Bhrasht Jhooti Party'.
