Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Friday dubbed the Narendra Modi government at the Cente as "anti-poor" and said it was conspiring to end reservation for Dalits and Other Backward Castes in the country.
"The Modi government is conspiring to end reservation in the country. The BJP does not want that reservation continue for the poor. It is trying to politicise the issue to end reservation," Mayawati said while addressing her first election rally in Banka district for the Bihar assembly polls.
Mayawati warned that the BSP would launch a countrywide agitation if the government or the BJP touched the reservation issue.
"We will launch the biggest ever protest in the country on reservation issue if the central government did anything to end it," she warned.
The BSP is contesting the Bihar assembly polls on its own.
