Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held talks with Ireland Prime Minister Enda Kenny after his arrival here on a day-long visit.
"Revisiting a historical relationship. PM @narendramodi and PM @EndaKennyTD speak during a tete-a-tete," tweeted external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup.
"The Taoiseach meets Pradhan Sevak. PM @narendramodi with PM @EndaKennyTD of Ireland at Government Buildings," he wrote.
Earlier, Modi arrived in Ireland -- in the first visit by an Indian prime minister in 59 years, and was received by Health Minister Leo Varadkar at the Dublin airport.
Modi will depart for New York on Wednesday evening as part of the US leg of his tour. The prime minister will be in the US till September 29.
