BJP's prime minister hopeful Narendra Modi may follow Santa Claus' footsteps to Goa this season, party sources said Sunday.
The Gujarat chief minister is scheduled to attend one of the three wedding related ceremonies of his Goa counterpart Manohar Parrikar's son Abhijat spread over Dec 26 and 27.
It in these days following Christmas when the portly Santa Claus also comes to town.
"Modi will either attend the wedding ceremony Dec 26 or the reception the following day," a party source said, adding several senior party leaders were also expected to be in attendance.
Abhijat is the Goa chief minister's younger son.
Party officials said Modi's rally in Goa had been put off from December to the second week of January to ensure it not disturb Christmas celebration in a state where Catholics account for over 25 percent of the population.
