Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in the French capital just after midnight on Friday (IST) in his first stop while on a three-nation tour of France, Germany and Canada.
Modi's plane Air India One touched down at the Paris Orly Airport.
The tour will focus on boosting trade and economic ties, including in defence and railways.
Modi earlier said his eight-day visit was focused on supporting India's national economic agenda, especially job creation for the youth.
In France, Modi will hold two back-to-back round-tables with top French CEOs -- one focused on infrastructure and the other on defence technology.
