Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Japan from Aug 30, instead of Aug 31, till Sep 3, the Japanese embassy said here Wednesday.
"Modi was scheduled to pay an official visit to Japan from Aug 31 to Sep 3. The schedule of the visit has been changed. The new schedule is from Aug 30 to Sep 3," said a statement from the embassy.
It further said that because of this change of schedule, "Modi is considering to visit Kyoto, in addition to his schedule in Tokyo".
Modi had announced the preponement of his Japan visit Tuesday.
