BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has won from the Vadodara Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat by a margin of over five lakh votes.
Modi, who got 8,45,464 votes, defeated his nearest rival Madhusudan Mistry of the Congress, who got 2,75,336 votes, officials said.
Sunil Digambar Kulkarni of the Aam Aadmi Party came a distant third with just over 10,000 votes.
"India has won! Good days are coming," Modi said in a tweet.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader also posted a video, calling it a "Vijay Geet", and saying "Achhe din aane wale hain (Good days are coming)."
