'Mommies Day Out', an exclusive prenatal workshop for expecting mothers, was held in the capital on the occasion of Mother's Day on Sunday.

Stem cell company LifeCell International and Fortis La Femme, India's leading women healthcare solution provider, organised the unique event, packed with interactive workshops, fun games, and informative sessions. It was done with an aim to celebrate pregnancy.

Since every pregnancy is different and is laden with a long list of do's and don'ts, LifeCell's exclusive workshop provided health related information, such as diet and fitness regime to follow during pregnancy.

Experts such as child birth educators, nutritionists, fashion advisors were available at the workshop to handhold the pregnant mother in her journey towards motherhood and to put all moms-to-be's doubts to rest, said Mayur Abhaya Srisrimal, CEO and managing director, LifeCell.

Nonika Goyal, facility director, Fortis La Femme, said that "such health camps are important ways to clear many misconceptions related to pregnancy and motherhood".

The sessions provided facts and busted myths on themes such as pregnancy management during the nine months, fitness and exercise during pregnancy, post-natal care and breastfeeding.

In addition to all the information that was provided at the workshop, the expecting couples were also found having a good laugh courtesy Neeti Palta.
