Monaco's midfielder Gabriel Boschilia will be sidelined for six months due to a injury to his right knee, the football club confirmed on Thursday.

The 20-year-old Brazilian sustained the injury on February 11 during his side's 5-0 victory over Metz in the 25th round of France Ligue 1, reports Efe.

Although the Brazilian player is not a regular starter, he has scored six goals in the 435 minutes he has participated with the French team.

Boschilia will miss the rest of the season with Monaco, which leads the French league.
