Rabat, Nov 30 (IANS/MAP) Morocco achieved a considerable progress in the economic, social and basic liberties fields, chairman of the European Economic and Social Committee Georges Dassis has said.
This progress will reinforce common will and foster close cooperation in these areas between Morocco, represented by the economic, social and environmental council and the EU, Dassis told MAP on Tuesday, following a meeting with first vice-speaker of the house of advisors Mohamed Al Ansari.
Spurring this cooperation will be conducted according to a determined action plan which will focus on social dialogue, environmental preservation and adaptation to climate change, with a view to continuing action and cooperation based on a win-win logic, he added.
He also hailed the great success of the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22), held in Marrakech from November 7-18.
For his part, Al Ansari said that the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects between Morocco and the EU in the economic, social and environmental areas.
