Morocco, Cote d'Ivoire draw 1-1 in World Cup qualifier

Morocco drew 1-1 against Cote d'Ivoire in their final Group C 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Abidjan.

Youssef El Arabi put Morocco ahead in the 53rd minute before Didier Drogba's penalty kick in the 83rd minute gave the 'Elephants' a point Saturday, reports Xinhua.

Cote d'Ivoire had already won the group and therefore qualified for the playoffs.

Cote d'Ivoire ended the group stage with 14 points while Morocco have nine points. Tanzania have six points and Gambia are on four.

Gambia beat Tanzania 2-0 in the other match played Saturday in Bakau, Gambia.
