Rabat, Nov 4 (IANS/MAP) Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew I, has called Morocco a pioneer in interfaith dialogue.
Speaking at the 10th World Policy Conference (WPC) on Friday, which will run till Sunday, Bartholomew also lauded efforts by Morocco in counterterrorism and the fight against the instrumentalization of religion for destructive ends.
"We are glad that the WPC is being held in Morocco, land of peace and interfaith dialogue," he said.
He also said that the international scene was witnessing deep changes due to upsurge in social injustice, nationalism and identity clinging.
The 10th edition of the World Policy Conference (WPC) kicked off in Marrakech in the presence of a leading personalities from various backgrounds.
