Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been fined 8,000 pounds and warned as to his future conduct, the FA said Thursday.
The FA said on its website that Mourinho was fined and warned following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, reports Xinhua.
Mourinho denied any improper conduct in re-entering the field of play and approaching the match referee in an attempt to speak to him, in or around the 90th minute of the game against Aston Villa March 15.
"However, the charge was found proven at a personal hearing Wednesday April 9," the statement said.
Mourinho walked on to the Villa Park pitch to speak to referee Chris Foy after Chelsea's Ramires was dismissed.
Mourinho was critical of Foy after the game as Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to four points.
