The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) here on Friday declared the results of exams held for Classes 10 and 12 in March.
Many students from small towns in the state bagged top positions in subject-wise merit lists of the higher secondary exams (Class 10).
A function was held at the official residence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and students who had excelled in board exams were honoured with medals.
Education Minister Vijay Shah, Minister of State Deepak Joshi, MPBSE Chairman S.R. Mohanty were present on the occasion.
As many as 7.12 lakh candidates appeared in the Class 10 exams and 11.56 lakh in the Class 12 exams. It is the first time that the results of both exams have been declared simultaneously.
