Congress MLA Rajyavardhan Singh 'Dattigaon' has expressed displeasure over not being included in the Kamal Nath-led Madhya Pradesh Cabinet.
Addressing party workers in his constituency of Dhar on Thursday evening, he said not giving him a ministerial position was "an insult to the people of his area".
An emotionally charged Singh also threatened to resign as an MLA.
He scoffed at the decision to give ministerial berths to former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh and former Deputy Chief Minister Jamuna Devi's relative Umang Singhar, among others.
The Congress legislator said he was not considered for a cabinet rank as he "is the son of a common man".
