The Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan police have decided to join forces to combat inter-state border crime.

This was decided at a border meeting held between the two forces in Mandsaur, in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

According to sources in the Police Headquarters, the meeting was attended by police superintendents from the districts of Neemuch, Ratlam and Mandsaur and from Rajasthan's Pratapgarh and Chittorgarh districts. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination between the inter-state border areas.

Discussions also focused on tackling the inter-state drug mafia and alcohol peddling and organised gangs, and to strengthen the security of important religious places.

They also focused on how to tackle rain-related problems.
