President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday condoled the passing away of Madam Hajia Abiba Nnaba, mother of President of Ghana.
In a condolence message to John Dramani Mahama, the President said: "I am saddened to learn that your beloved mother, Madam Hajia Abiba Nnaba, has passed away. I write to express my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May you have the strength to bear this irreparable personal loss."
"She left this world with great dignity and pride as the mother of an illustrious son who has risen to become the president of her country, steering its destiny. May her soul rest in eternal peace," Mukherjee said.
Mukherjee was in Ghana last week, as part of his six-day visit to three African nations.
