Angry relatives and neighbours of a murdered woman Monday staged a demonstration, stoned and injured policemen and damaged two police vehicles here demanding early arrest of the culprits, a police official said.
The protestors blocked the G.T. Road in Model Town area in north Delhi around 10 a.m. and stoned policemen who tried to stop them, police said.
A few policemen were injured and two police vehicles were damaged, said a police officer.
The protestors were demanding the arrest of those who killed Kamlesh Devi, 40, a maid, whose body was found Sunday morning in a park in Model Town.
"There were wounds on her head and neck," said a police officer, adding that they were still investigating the murder.
