Nestle's Maggi with its captivating two-minute tagline is something more than just noodles for me. It has always occupied a special space from my childhood to adulthood, from hostel days to hill station vacations, from dad's special Maggi to younger cousin's Maggi, from bread Maggi to egg Maggi and much more.
How glad I am it'll be back, perhaps as early as later this month, after a five-month hiatus.
Memories of Maggi are entangled in every chapter of my life. It became my first choice of snack and at times, remained my only choice.
My first foray into the kitchen was with cooking Maggi when I was just 9-years-old. Like me, Maggi too has been the first attempt at cooking for many others.
If the food cooked at home is something in my dislike category, Maggi is the one which always comes as a savior to me.
During my hostel days, Maggi was the unavoidable staple food which somehow always made its way in the tummy with its mouth-watering smell. I am a core believer that I have a different tummy for Maggi and recent scare when it was pulled off the shelf did worry me about my "Maggi tummy". Happily, it has cleared all the tests ordered by the Bombay High Court at three accredited laboratories and has been declared safe and non-hazardous for human consumption.
Every Maggi eater has their own different "khushiyon wali" recipe and which amazingly surprises with its taste.
Maggi masala (taste maker) is its uniqueness. It is palatable, spicy and just right amount of fire for my taste buds which is incomparable and irresistible. Apart from noodles I love to have the Maggie essence in many other dishes too by using its taste maker which sometimes comes out as my special secret ingredient.
Maggi flourishes in the market with different variety like vegetable Aata noodle, Oats noodles, cuppa mania but Masala Maggi is my favorite one. there are also other competitors in the market but Maggi is the preferred taste.
Maggie is a snack which I purchase in a planned way, but consume without planning.
For me noodles is Maggi and Maggi is noodles.
