Delhi-based cloud telephony service firm MyOperator on Tuesday said it has tied up with the government to provide services for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'.

Under the partnership, MyOperator will handle the just-launched toll-free number 1800-3000-7800 which is aimed at facilitating those citizens who wish to record their problems, thoughts or questions for the prime minister to address during the radio programme.

Previously, a citizen had to log on to the open forum on the MyGov.in website or send letters to connect with the government.

"With the option of recording one's comments through a phone call, the PM and the Mann Ki Baat programme will be able to reach a much wider audience throughout the country," the company said in a statement.

"Through the collaboration, we will apply our easily adaptable cloud telephony solutions to empower maximum number of citizens with a toll-free number that they can use to connect with the government seamlessly," said Ankit Jain, CEO and founder of MyOperator.

"Internet penetration rates are still not high enough across the nation and the propensity to send physical mail is decreasing every day. In this scenario, we feel that the toll-free number will become one of the most preferred ways of interacting with the Prime Minister's Office as it is most accessible, quick and cost-effective for a majority of the population," he said.
