India's Naresh Kumar Sharma finished 40th and failed to reach the final of the Mixed R6 50 metres Rifle Prone-SH1 at the Rio Paralympics here on Wednesday.
Naresh, competing in his fourth event at Rio, scored 591.00 points in total to finish 40th out of 42 competitors.
He started with 97.7 in the first series before posting scores of 98.3, 99.1 and 96.9 in the rest of the three series respectively.
Britain's Matt Skelhon (622.5 points), Sultan Alaryani (619.5) and Jin Ho Park (618.5) of South Korea gained the top three places in the qualifying campaign.
