BJP MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, on Saturday resigned from the BJP primary membership.
Kaur, who represents Amritsar East constituency in the Punjab assembly, sent a one line resignation to the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, a party source said.
She could not be contacted for comments.
Navjot Singh Sidhu had last month resigned from the BJP, nearly two months after he quit as the party's Rajya Sabha MP.
The former Test cricketer, a former Lok Sabha member from Amritsar, recently announced launching of a political forum, Awaaz-e-Punjab.
