Nepalese conglomerate CG Corp Global plans to build 1000 transitional homes and 100 primary community schools in affected districts across the quake-hit nation, a statement said on Wednesday.

The Himalayan nation's only multinational conglomerate spearheaded by Binod Chaudhary will in total pledge 250 million Nepali rupees for the projects.

According to the Nepal government data, 2,05052 homes have been completely destroyed while 1,86,285 were partially destroyed in the killer quake.

Similarly, 575 school buildings have been totally wiped out and 969 schools were partially damaged.

The group envisaged that there will be additional 9,000 shelters built in the next 6 months, the statement said.

It will partner with PWC India foundation for project monitoring and evaluation and SEED's India for design and implementation of the shelter programme.

Nepal was hit by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake on April 25, killing over 7,000 people, injuring more than 14,000 and rendering countless homeless.
