A Nepali national was arrested and a million dollar note along with a certificate of authenticity seized from him on Tuesday by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in West Bengal's Siliguri, an official said.
"Acting on intelligence inputs, SSB troopers tracked the prospective buyers from Birpara in Dooars and apprehended the accused man red-handed while he was trying to make a transaction with other people in Siliguri town area," said an SSB officer.
Besides the million dollar note, two 1-mm thick gold plated embossed metal certificates connected with the bill were seized from the man.
The man, along with seized items, was handed over to police.
