Netgear, a global provider of networking products, has announced the launch of its product selector tool -- an app which allows the user to quickly and easily identify the right Netgear Business product that will fulfil their networking and storage needs.
One simply needs to answer a few questions to find the suitable Netgear product, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The Business Product Selector Tool is intended to work with Netgear routers right out-of-the-box, allowing users to set up and manage their networks from start to finish in an intuitive, easy-to-use user interface, said Subhodeep Bhattacharya, Netgear's regional director for India and Saarc.
Users can set administrators and manage other client devices on the network, making it easy for parents or network administrators to monitor kids or staff online behaviour, setting schedules for internet access and providing a 'safe list' of websites that can be accessed via a certain device.
The app is compatible with iPhones, iPod Touch and iPad devices as well as Android devices and is available on Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store.
The app helps one understand the types and range of Netgear products -- switches security, storage and wireless.
"The Netgear selection is one of the many tools that we would bring to our channel partners and customers this year... the objective is to bring more information to our customers fingertips and help them to choose the products in a better way," said Bhattacharya.
Netgear -- headquartered in San Jose, California -- is a global networking products provider that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers.
For consumers, the company makes high-performance, dependable and easy-to-use home networking, storage and digital media products to connect people with the internet and their content and devices.
For businesses, Netgear provides networking, storage and security solutions without the cost and complexity of big IT. The company also supplies top service providers with retail-proven, mobile broadband solutions for their customers on the go.
Netgear products are sold in approximately 44,000 retail locations around the globe, and through approximately 37,000 value-added resellers. It has offices in over 25 countries.
