The next round of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians will be held in Israel in the second week of August, Israel's chief negotiator Tzipi Livni said.
Livni also said Israel intends to release the first batch of Palestinian prisoners before the next round of talks, Xinhua reported citing Israel Radio.
Last week, the Israeli cabinet approved the release of 104 Palestinian prisoners, paving the road for the renewal of the talks in Washington Tuesday.
"The release (of the group of prisoners) will take place between now and then," Livni said.
Livni added that she was under the impression that the Palestinians were "serious" about the talks.
