Virtual hotels operator Nida Rooms, co-founded by former SpiceJet chief executive Kaneswaran Avili, has expanded its portfolio to the Philippines, thus adding one more country to its footprint, that is already on Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.

"The company also announces the availability of select inventory on Tiket.com, an online travel agent, with many more such agencies to follow in coming weeks to enable customers the ability to book easily," the company said in a statement.

The company, incorporated in September last year, offers rooms under the its brand to customers using an e-commerce platform -- one that provides partner hotels better chances of selling their unsold rooms by increasing their reach into global markets.

"With this development, Nida Rooms is available for customers to book and stay in four key Asian countries, withover 3,500 hotels in a short span of seven months from its incorporation," Avili said.

In Philippines, Nida Rooms is currently present in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Angeles/Clark and Davao among other main and strategic areas.

"Toward the year-end we are targeting to have at least 1,000 partner hoteliers in Philippines," Avili said, adding customers will benefit from the strategy of offering rooms at under $30 a day with most partners offering great prices for good products.
