A Nigerian drug dealer, staying illegally in India, was arrested here and cocaine valued at Rs.30 lakh was recovered from him, police said Wednesday.
Jonathan Uche, 38, supplied drugs, particularly cocaine in Delhi's party circles and was arrested Tuesday from the Ramakrishna Ashram Marg Metro station following a tip-off.
Uche had come to deliver 30 grams of cocaine to one of his clients.
According to police, Uche came to India in 2010 on a business visit. Another Nigerian, Paul, contacted and later hired him for expanding the client base.
"Uche wanted to earn a quick buck and associated with Paul," said a police officer.
"He also overstayed his visa," the officer added.
