Nine people were killed on the outskirts of Pakistan's Peshawar city when militants entered a house and opened fire early Wednesday, media reported.
Over a dozen militants armed with heavy weapons barged into the house at Badaber Moashokhel area on the outskirts of Peshawar, capital of the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, tossing grenades, the News International reported citing police.
They then opened fire inside the house, killing nine people, including a volunteer for a peace committee.
According to the police, the house belonged to a policeman named Zafar who had fallen victim to target killing.
