Emaar MGF Land Ltd. on Tuesday said the real estate company had no business links with Rahul Gandhi's aide Kanishka Singh while Guido Haschke was its independent director for a "brief period in 2009".
Haschke's name figures in connection with the AgustaWestland chopper deal.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kirit Somaiya had accused Kanishka Singh of holding shares in Emaar MGF, which he said also had Guido Ralph Haschke as its director.
"Emaar MGF has no business links with Kanishka Singh and any allegations to link us to Singh is baseless and incorrect. Kanishka Singh has never had any direct or indirect business interest, including as a shareholder or promoter or director, in Emaar MGF," a company statement released here said.
"We would like to put on record that Guido R. Hashke was an independent non-executive director for an extremely brief period of two months and 12 days, i.e., from September 25, 2009, to December 7, 2009, and Emaar MGF has had no other association with him or any of his businesses/associates," the statement added.
Hashke's name surfaced in a judgment of an Italian court regarding payment of bribes in the sale of AgustaWestland choppers in India.
Kanishka Singh also said that "all the allegations are baseless, false and given with an ulterior political motive".
The Congress described the allegations preposterous propaganda by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
