Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir Saturday reiterated that the coming presidential and parliamentary elections would not be delayed.
"There won't be any delay for the presidential and parliamentary elections slated for early 2015," Xinhua quoted the Sudanese president as saying whie addressing an emergency meeting for the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in Khartoum.
"The government would embark during the coming phase on running a wide dialogue with the political forces, without exclusion, on peace, economic conditions, political freedoms and the Sudanese identity."
He said the government does not mind renegotiations with the armed movements, provided that they abandon violence.
