DMK president M. Karunanidhi Tuesday said discussions about electoral alliance for the 2014 general elections have not yet begun.
Speaking to reporters here, Karunanidhi said: "Talks on alliance in general polls have not begun. Hence the question of whom the party would align with does not arise at all."
Queried whether the party is toying with the idea of aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party to fight the 2014 general elections, he said: "DMK's mind cannot be told to you openly."
He said the DMK general council's agenda would be the forthcoming parliament elections and other matters depending on the situation.
The party has called a meeting of its general council here Dec 15.
