Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no magic wand and it would take time for the government to revive an ailing system, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said Thursday.
Parrikar was speaking during a motion moved in the ongoing monsoon session of the Goa legislative assembly.
Congratulating Narendra Modi on becoming prime minister, he said: "There can be no magic wand. To revive an ailing system will take time."
Parrikar also said Modi's journey, which began in Goa, had reached fruition, but added that the onus was now on the central government to deliver good governance.
"They will deliver, I can guarantee," he said.
