Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, brother of party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, has been admitted to AIIMS here following chest and abdominal pain, an official said Thursday.
"Ram Gopal Yadav was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Wednesday morning and is currently under the supervision of eight doctors," a senior AIIMS official told IANS.
The official said Yadav has a history of heart disease along with several other health issues.
"Currently he is in the cardiology department but will be referred to other departments if his condition deteriorates," said the official.
Ram Gopal Yadav is the party's general secretary and a member of parliament from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.
