Mobile communications major Nokia Thursday unveiled its 41 megapixel camera phone Lumia 1020 which will be launched on Oct 11.
"The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a stunning device with imaging capabilities like no other smartphone," said P. Balaji, managing director, Nokia India.
"We believe it will further strengthen Nokia's leadership in imaging, which today plays a pivotal role in the lives of consumers."
According to the company, the price of the phone in India will be disclosed on Oct 10, due to currency fluctuations. The mobile device in international markets is priced about $800 (Rs.48,000).
The phone is powered by Windows 8 Amber software and comes with a 4.5-inch active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) coupled with an application -- Nokia Pro Camera -- for professional quality images.
