The nomination process for the sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls began on Tuesday, an election official said.
Polling for 49 seats spread across seven districts would be held on March 4.
The constituencies which will go to the polls in the sixth phase are mostly in the crucial Poorvanchal region comprising of Deoria, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Mau, Azamgarh and Ballia.
More than 1.72 crore voters will be voting in this phase.
The last date of nominations is February 14 and the scrutiny by poll panel officials would take place on February 16. The last date of withdrawal from the race is February 18.
