The notification for elections in 15 of Jammu and Kashmir's 87 assembly constituencies which will go to polls in the first part of the five-phase election was issued here Tuesday.
The constituencies going to polls are Gurez, Bandipora and Sonawari in Bandipore district, Kangan and Ganderbal in Ganderbal district, Leh and Nobra in Leh district, Kargil and Zanskar in Kargil district, Kishtwar and Inderwal in Kishtwar district, Doda and Bhaderwah in Doda district, Ramban (reserved) and Banihal in Ramban district.
As per the notification, Nov 5 is the last date for filing of nominations, scrutiny of the papers will be held on Nov 7 and candidature can be withdrawn by 3 p.m. on Nov 10.
Elections in these constituencies will be held on Nov 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Election Commission announced the poll schedule for Jammu and Kashmir Saturday.
