A court here Tuesday reserved its order on a plea by a man, booked for the death of an NRI student and seeking permission to go abroad to pursue higher studies.
Accused Shivank Gambhir, who is now out on bail, pleaded before the court to release his passport and allow him to go to Britain to pursue further studies.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Veena Rani said it will deliver the order May 30.
The prosecution opposed Gambhir's plea saying he has been booked under serious charges.
NRI student Anmol Sarna, who completed his high school from New York, died after a drug party organised Sep 13 last year in one of his friend's flat in south Delhi.
Sarna's friend Gambhir, Madhav Bhandari, Rhythm Girhotra and Pranil Shah partied together that night.
Police said the party lasted till midnight after which Sarna was allegedly thrashed by the apartment complex guards, Surender Bali and Naresh Mishra, for creating a ruckus.
Police booked the two guards for assaulting Sarna, while his four friends were booked for drug abuse.
