A police inspector in Odisha was Wednesday arrested for sexually exploiting a woman police inspector for 13 years, an official said.
The police crime branch tracked the movements of inspector Ajit Kumar Swain for the past few days and nabbed him from state capital Bhubaneswar, a crime branch official told IANS.
Swain was on the run ever since the woman inspector filed a complaint against him May 7.
The woman inspector said Swain started exploiting her sexually since she joined the police force in 2001.
The woman in her complaint said Swain first raped her after inviting her to his official residence in Keonjhar district and videotaped the act through a hidden camera.
He continued with his act by blackmailing her with the video footage.
Police swung into action after the woman recently met top officials and also moved the Odisha High Court.
