An Ola cab driver has been arrested on the charges of raping a woman here, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on December 29, but a case was registered on January 1 after the woman approached the police. The driver, Deepak Wamne, took the lady to a far-off place and raped her, police said.
"The lady on Friday told us that the driver raped her. Asked why she took two days to get her complaint lodged, she said her family did not support her," Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanbad, Sameer Yadav told IANS.
Yadav said the lady, a nurse by profession, knew the driver for sometime.
