At least one persons was killed and four others were injured as an explosion ripped through a busy road in Afghanistan capital Kabul on Wednesday, the police said.
According to initial information, the person was killed in the blast near a Shia mosque in Dasht-e-Barchi area, Xinhua news agency quoted a police official as saying.
An investigation has been initiated into the incident, the police said.
The apparent target of the blast was an Afghan Parliament member's convoy passing by in the area, a witness said.
Ambulances and civilian cars evacuated the victims to the nearby hospitals, the witness said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
