One more infant died due to lack of oxygen in an incubator and negligence of the hospital administration in Pakistan, bringing the number of such deaths to 19 in the past five days.
The death of the infant occurred at Sargodha's district headquarters teaching hospital in Punjab province, Geo TV reported Sunday.
Sources said the infant was born at home and was shifted to the hospital in a critical condition.
The sources said that 22 newborn babies are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
The parents of the deceased infants alleged that the deaths occurred due to sheer negligence of the hospital administration.
